My pseudo blackberry

Word of caution..this is a long entry...

I always wanted to get a blackberry..the push email technology was the envy of other phone manufacturer...and i tend to get restless if i dun check my email every 1/2 hour...even on weekend. But the problem with them are the premium pricing they charge..lack of apps..i mean pirated ones..and the form factor...
So, i opted for nokia...the familiar symbian os..the souped up S60..bunch of warez..the freakin thin form factor compared to my previous dopod..and full qwerty keypad. I did some reading before getting this baby..it was highly regarded due to its feature..hsdpa..gps..good batt life and bunch other stuff. But what's lacking is the push email.
After browsing thru the net...i found out nokia is testing an email app for their own push email..it's in beta stage..free and really easy to setup...so std gmail or yahoo setup is a breeze..just type in ur username and pw..and voila...ur personal email is pushed to ur phone.
So when started working again..corporate email app is lotus notes..and not supported for mobile phone especially e71 thru Blackberry Connect..unless ur the country manager..they're given blackberries..so i searched hi and low for a better and free alternatives. I did found Notes Traveler..still beta stage but i need to specify my server address..which is totally out of the quession...i need somekind of hi security clearance for that kind of info..
Then the light bulb on top of my head flickered for a second..and eureka!...i should have thought of this earlier...i can just auto forward all my lotus notes email to my gmail and i can view all the emails thru my phone...well i still cannot reply coz it will show my gmail add instead of the corporate one..but heck..i just need to know whether i have email in the inbox...
The pre-installed gps app is crap..so my fren showed me a site to install garmin mobile..it's a garmin man..so complete turn by turn navigation...well minus text to speech..but heck..it's free!! So now i go around KL with my gps turned on...mcm tourist..hehehe..
Plus..since i upgraded my plan to the celcom exec 148...i got unlimited BB..well 5GB so called unlimited on hsdpa network...and RM150 talk time....i can do tethering with my thinkpad anywhere..instead of paying a bomb in starbucks for a wifi..
So there you go..blackberry on the cheap...i think..never bothered to look up their plan..but i feel a comparable alternative..can't say better coz i haven't tried blackberry yet.
What abt iphone? I can't live without a physical keypad..really hard to text while driving..hehehe..
Palm pre or android phones..maybe next yr when the OS have matured enough..
Another thing i like abt this phone..i can do mobile blogging..instead of facing the monitor..coz bloggers do have writers block too..and u dunno when u'll be strucked with that cool idea to write abt...i always get my ideas from odd places..my idea room..like when i wrote on this entry...maryam would know..hahaha...
I can go on and on abt this phone..the pre-installed browser is awesome..a good rss reader...good for light reading when wifey going in n out of her shopping spree..it has fring..mobile IM..so i can chat with frens when wifey goes to the dressing room..yeah..most of the time..just to occupy my time waiting for her...that's the highlight of my life..

My eyes been twitching for the past 1 week...not sure why but it is really annoying..luckily have not met with any cute client..they might think i'm flirting around. 3 people i hate

I'm a very nice person..who accepts another person as whoever they are..regardless of their gender,race or religion and all that crap..
But there are 3 ppl i really despise...
1. Those who checks their bank balance at the atm while everybody at the back had to wait...there such thing as online banking...u can check ur balance every freaking minute...knock ur self out with that online balance...

2. Those who hasn't decided wat to order at the mcd counter when its their turn...plus they have the nerve to either chat wat's today chef recommendation or call their frens..'eh wat do u want to order ahh'...

3. Those who dunno the term 'smarttag or touch n go'..i saw a ferrari car had to queue a long line just to pay toll...can't u afford the damn tag!!...i still cannot fathom commuters still insist paying cash...there is such thing as tng!

So why i hate these ppl..coz i met 3 of them on the same freaking day..and wifey took my smart tag...arghhhhh...

This is our anniversarry dinner..a quick and dirty solution...tasty and way cheaper than going out for candle light dinner..it's too cliche..
Anyway...mr evil is a seafood lover esp crab...so he swallowed most of it..me just had go with the toasted bread with the crab sauce...while i only had 1 piece of the famous fatty crab....plus malas nak kepak2 hentak2 the crab

Shoe number....

Last friday a friend from putrajaya forced me to join her for friday long lunch break at klcc.

'pah, kasut kat klcc lg cantek2 and uptodate pah'

asked che na for direction (w'pun tak brp paham...im bad at visualizing direction) and walllaaaa....sampai klcc. TH selbon pun dah tau nak pi camne cuma nak get to the other side of the road tu yg was2 sket.

So anyway, got myself another pair of shoes from pedal works which is one size bigger. they dont have it in size 4 so belasah la 5 cantek punye pasal.

And now...its hurting me...huwarghhh. Bersangka baik...baru 1st time pakai.

Chinese food

My fren brought me here for lunch..early lunch. Just to avoid the peak hour parking madness. Located in Sri Damansara..called Groupbase Cafe. Pretty isolated place, but maybe for an outsider like me..that would be common. Anyway..i ordered the lunch meal of basil leaves with squid..and my fren ordered chicken kung poh/pow...not sure how it is spelt..it is cheap..way cheaper compared to muhibbah in ttdi..but i have to try their more exotic cuisine...they have ala carte too..plus cakes for dessert. My buddy told me they run a catering services..so this is one of their diversification move...
How the taste like...i'm not a food critic...and i dun complaint much as long as they can serve me in record time..so all is good..mine is like less than RM10 with drinks..so not that bad..JJCM did reviewed this place..but i can't find the plaque..so cannot confirm on that part..they do have the usual chicken rice and etc..but that's just way too common...anyway..if u fancy chinese food..halal..give them a try..

No, i'm not encouraging everybody to start dancing suddenly like those musical movies, but it only take one man..to make a difference..who takes risk..being ridiculed...but he soldiered on, persevered to the end of the song. Well, maybe he was high on something..but that's not the issue..

Hari ini adalah hari yg plg tidak productive. for some reasons i have no interest to work today. Not that i didnt do anything. Of coz i did prepared something but it was not with the usual spirit. There is this one thick stupid doc that i need to study, review and update. Damn i dunno what..where and how to start! Oh and my team? Hr isnin ni ada la yg nak kena cincang dgn aku!

Power spec sudah naik 200 & 175. dulu buat spec ni few months before gi sydney. Tp jarang pakai sbb menyusahkan. But now have to wear while working if not tak puas. So ptg ni nak gi buat spec br tapi tak byk frame cantek. Rugilah tak beli kat sydney dulu. Ewww tak suka pakai spec sbb nanti tak leh melaram with my sunnies!! Now shud i start wearing contact lens? Huuu menakutkan nak tonyoh2 mata.

Monday morning

After two weeks break from jln duta, i couldnt adjust my biological clock back to the old routine. Went out at 730am (very bad!!) but managed to punch in sharp at 830am. Hasil rempitan all the way usj - jln duta. me too cant live without wp3!

Wat does malaysian do when stucked in traffic?

1. nose picking - it's the all time favourite...so dun be scared with the flu..but be very afraid of a handshake..u never know where it has boldly gone before...i saw this dude behind me digging it with one finger after another..looks like he was utilising all 10 finger for 2 nostrils..arghhh bad mental picture...

2. Slowing down at any incident..either real accident or changing tyres. I think our dna are embedded with this sense of curiosity..we're just can't help ourselves..

3. Day dreaming - specifically on 'hmmm..when can i afford that black beemer in front of me' dreaming...

4. My new activity while stucked in traffic..i'd be youtubing..it's kinda fun..takes ur mind off the jam..have laugh on stupid thing ppl put on the net...and i figured it's legal..no cops will pull u over for watching youtube...while driving..

5. My favourite past time...calling an old friend..i have a special buddy i'd call during this perilous journey..He'd always figured i'm stucked somewhere...coz he knew that wat he's good for...a good chat buddy...

So in conclusion...there is no end to traffic woes..as the pic refers to..traffic in the Smart tunnel...paid RM2 so i can get stucked in a hole...not that smart am i...so most malaysians have to come up with some sort of entertainment to occupy ourselves..as the saying goes..the road is always clearer at the other side...happy commuting ppl!
